Is it possible to perform a urine test and retrieve information which could be useful in a diagnosis of ms such as MBP and MeArg levels that are excreted?
Thank you

This would be a wonderful idea, and would save a lot of people unnecessary
discomfort but the myelin basic protein is found in CSF only and is not
excreted in a detectable form in urine so the possibility does not exist.
No other markers of Ms are excreted in the urine, one of the reasons that
this is not possible is because the MS markers are mostly proteins which
are deposited in the CSF in only very small quantities because it washes
around the neurons.
Heavy proteins are ultrafiltrated by the kidneys and are not lost in the urine
if the kidneys are functuioning normally.
