: Penny,
How long have you had this problem? This sounds similar to some of the things that have happened to me, I fell a lot too, starting in 92, then episodes periodically throughout the years, to end up with the tingling, pins and needles, itching, spasms, twitching, numbness, etc.  I would go to another neurologist and have them do tests like an emg and whatever they may suggest to test for nerve damage, all of my mri's state no nerve compression, yet I am loosing feeling, reflexes etc.  My emg was abnormal.  I don't think that it is in your head, sometimes doctors just don't listen due to the fact of their patient load or sadly to say they just don't care.
i wish you luck

Thanks for your help
I did forget to say that i have had 2 emgs and am told eveything looks ok, i am in pool thyrapy at this time.  I was in an auto acct in 96 and this has been going on now for 2 1/2 yrs.  i have had traction now twice and am not sure it is helping because as soon as i start walking left hip and groin area and left side of my butt cheek still has alot of pain.  It does not hurt in the back of my leg only the front and side of the thigh and hip and inside of thigh by the groin area, stops at the knee and then starts at the foot on left side only.  The electric feeling  is in both legs usually only at night when i lay down to go to sleep, but has happened while i`m at work to a point where i am not sure if i`m gonna fall or make my next step. doc said it was a panic attack, i do not think so!!!!  I go back to the doc tues to discuss the last emg.  thanks again    Penny

Brenda
I was in an auto acct. last year. Pain in back was really bad. Went to Phy. Therapy for about a month then Dr. did MRI . Before the results were in I called to tell her that I thought I had done something to my foot. She told me that the MRI showed something in the L4 and L5 area and the S1, that is why my foot was hurting . NOt in the leg just the foot along the outside. you can't even touch it.I had an Ep. Injection done that helped for awhile then it was right back this time with pain in the big toe area like I was having a toe cramp. Back to therapy and traction. Traction was helping until they increased the time now it hurts even worse. Going this week for a CT-MYLOGRAM . I really don't know what to expect.

My big toe also was cramping but it is little to everything else that was going on.
