Is it true that one-third of the people whom receive dural bloodpatches for CSF leak acquire nerve root disease?  I have an article stating these facts.  I had 2 bloodpatches and one epidural saline injection 3 days prior to the 2nd bloodpatch and my sacral & coccyx pain is now unbearable.  I cannot use that area of my back or sit at all without severe pain.  Does an MRI show scar tissue?  I also have an article stating bloodpatches carry the risk of arachnoiditis.  Is this true?  I know each person is different and getting needles in my back has certainly ruined my life.  I now have either arachnoiditis from the myelogram or nerve root damage from the saline & bloodpatch.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.
