3 years ago the lateral vision in my left eye was gone for about 5 to 10 minutes, I felt dizzy, my vision slowly came back.  No side effects.  Recently, last month, this time a blind spot occurred in the middle of both my eyes.  I could see around it, it slowly alll moved to my left eye again, my entire left side felt tingly, I thought I was going to pass out, again it all slowly disappeared and I was left with a headache for the evening.  I had a dizzy spell each day for a couple of days afterwards.  The Encarta info said that blood clots can occur if boils implode.  Do you think I may have had a mini stroke?  What should I do?  I am strong and healthy generally, I am a martial arts black belt instructor.




Boils and strokes are a new one on me. If the skin abnormality is subcutaneous
then I'm not sure about the correlation. Your best advice would be to first see
your doctor and address these problems with them. In your age group migraine or
multiple sclerosis would need to be addressed. If you are having "mini strokes"
then an underlying etiology needs to be determined. Patients can have visual
loss secondary to a number of things such as migraine, optic neuritis, vascular
or a local ocular problem. See your doctor with a possible referal to a neurlogist.
