I had a two disc fusion (L4/5 and L5/S1) in Feb. 1999.  Entered in the abdomen to remove discs and place bone cadaver rings, then entered the back to place rods and screws.  I must say that the first couple of weeks after surgery were not "fun".  But I am doing much better now.  In fact, I just returned to work.  My concern is this, I do not want to jeopardize my healing process.  Will working cause problems as long as I am careful and wear my back brace (corset)?  I do still have discomfort and pain, is this still post surgery?  How long will it take before I am pain free?   Also, will I notice any difference in my mobility?
