Regarding MRI results - Vircho-Robin Space & macroadenoma?

by tnusokr14, Mar 31, 2008 06:50PM
I just picked up my medical records today from my neurologist... i was diagnosed on Feb13 with a microadenoma by a different doctor (a NS) than the one i picked my records up. My neuro's report states that he found a 12mm pituitary macroadenoma & also a "prominent virchow-robin space at the left basal ganglion"....first of all, what does that mean??? I've looked online and can't find anything. also, why would my neuro's report state a macroadenoma finding and my NS state it is a microadenoma. Although i've had many other issues with my NS, i am going to Vanderbilt Pituitary Center on April 2, so i'm trying to get the best understanding of all this that i can.

thanks!
