Hi there. Brain injury can change the way a person experiences and expresses their sexuality.  Causes of acquired brain injury include infection, disease, lack of oxygen, or blow to the head. Traumatic brain injury can cause changes in thinking, behavior, and body function depending on which brain areas were affected and to what degree. Usually the changes seen are reduced libido, erectile problems, inability to orgasm etc. sexual functioning and arousal involve a number of areas of the brain. Damage to those areas may cause difficulty in sexual behavior. Consult your dad in law’s neurologist for more advice and meanwhile be patient with him. Hope this helps you understand his behavior. Take care.
