Reversing and Curing Anhidrosis (Absent Sweating)

Dear Doctor/Specialist

For the past 2 years, I have suffered from Anhidrosis (Absent Sweating). This has been pure hell for me because of the symptoms I suffer from. The symptoms I speak of are 1)Absent Sweating, 2)High Body Tempreature, 3)Hot Red Flushed Face and 4) Dry Skin. My body can't cool down properly and I need to take a very cold shower and remain in air condtioned room in order too cool down. My face is hot and red and has the look of a permant sunburn. I used to sweat alot 2 years ago and now I dont sweat at all. I am so desperate to be able to sweat again, that I would do anything to achieve it.  I believe that the cause of my Andhrosis is Autonomic Neuropaty because it is the only conditon that I can think of. I have several questions and they are

Is there a cure for Anhidrosis?
Is there a way to reverse Autonomic Neuropathy and restore sweat fuction in a person who has Anhidrosis?
Are there any drugs that cause excessive sweating that may be used to treat Anhidrosis?
Are there any vitamins that are good for the nervous system and that can restore sweat gland function?
Are there any clinical trials for sufferers of Anhidrosis like there is for sufferers of Hyperhidrosis?
I heard that  Alpha Lipoic Acid is good for Autonomic Neuropathy and can this be used to regenerate sweat glands?
I heard that Aquaporins 5 is essential for sweat production, can this be used to cure Anhidrosis?

Doctor/Specialist I want you to answer my questions and I wish that you can give me some hope because I badly need it. I feel that my life has been totally ruined by this condition. I get so overheated very easily and I can't cool down properly. I very much want to find a cure for my condition. I want to sweat again and I can tell you this that all people who complain about having Hypherhidrosis (Excessive Sweating) is just plain wrong, I would rather have Hypherhidoris then Anhidrosis.

PLEASE ANSWER ME.

Dear Doctor Christopher R Newey, DO

This is my second message to you to remind you not to forget me. I am sorry for being selfish and being a pest and taking up your time, but I am very desperate. You see I want to be cured of my Anhidrosis (Absent Sweating) and it's symptoms such as 1)High Body Tempreature (I can't cool down my body with out having a long cold shower and sitting in an air conditioned room), 2)Hot Flushed Red Face and Neck (Permant Sunburn Look) and 3)Dry Skin.

I would like you to answer my questions that I have posted on this topic and I would like it very much if you can give me some answers. I so badly want you to assure me that there is hope for curing me of my horrible condition. I have been suffering misserably for the past 2 years and I so deperatly want to be able to sweat again, to regain my normal body tempreature, to get rid of my hot and red flushed face and to get back my once oily skin. I would like you to communicate with me and if you have any new breaking news on the curing Anhidrosis and it's related symtpoms to give me the news on this message.

I heard that Dr Robert Shields of the Neuromuscular center is an expert on these types of diseases, can you talk to him about Anhidrosis that is caused by Autonomic Neuropathy and can you get me any information on how to cure this disease that I suffer from. I went on Cleveland Clinic Website and I read that Anhidrosis is treated at the Cleveland Clinic, can you explain how you treat Anhidrosis at the Cleveland Clinic and can you tell me about people who regain their ability to sweat again and to totally restore sweat function in people that once suffered from Anhidrosis.

PLEASE REPLY BACK  ASAP.

Dear Doctor Christopher R Newrey, DO

Thank you for your information and I do appreaciate you for replying to my medical post on Anhidrosis (Absent Sweating). You did advice me to go to a dermatologist first before seing a nuerologist. I have reaserched that there are dermatological reasons for Anhidrosis just like there are neurological reasons as well. But the information that you gave to me is not what I asked in the first place. No disrespect, I did not ask for tbe causes of Anhidrosis, I did ask on how to cure, treat and reverse Anhidrosis. I would like you to answer my questions that have have written down on my medicial post.

I repeat some of my questions on this post!

Is there a cure for Anhidrosis?
Is there a way to reverse Autonomic Neuropathy and restore sweat function in a person who suffers from Anhidrosis?
Are there any drugs that cause excessive sweating that my be used to treat Anhidrosis?
Are there any good vitiamns for the nervous system and that can restore sweat gland function?
Are there any clinical trials for finding a cure for Anhidrosis (Absent Sweating) that there is for Hypherhidrosis (Excessive Sweating)?
I heard that Alpha Lipoic Acid is good for Autonomic Neuropathy and can this regenerate sweat glands?
I heard that Aquaporins 5 is essential for sweat production, can this be used to cure Anhidrosis?

If I do go to a dermatologist and he/she finds out that there is a skin disease that is causing my Anhidrosis can a skin disease of this nature be cured and if I do manage to cure this diease that is causing my Anhidrosis, will I be able to restore my ability to sweat?

I just need some answers and I do need very much some hope in being able to cure or reverse Anhidrosis which is ruining my life. I am sick and tired of feeling hot all the time and unable to cool of with out taking a cold shower and sitting in an airconditioned room, I am sick and tired of not sweating, I am sick and tired of having a hot flushed red face and neck that is like a sunburn and I am sick and tired of dry sking. I want to be able to sweat again like I used to and I want my body tempreature to return to normal, I want my flushed face to go away and I want my old oily skin to return. I am so depserate for a solution to my horrible Anhidrosis condition.

PLEASE REPLY BACK ASAP.

Thanks for using the forum. I am happy to address your questions, and my answer will be based on the information you provided here. Please make sure you recognize that this forum is for educational purposes only, and it does not substitute for a formal office visit with a doctor.

Without the ability to examine and obtain a history, I can not tell you what the exact cause of the symptoms is. However I will try to provide you with some useful information.

There is such a thing as autonomic neuropathy but other features may be present as well. If needed, there are specialized neurological tests that can be performed to evaluate for small fiber neuropathies (EMG/NCS, QSART, tilt table, and skin biopsy). However, with your symptoms, I would suggest you discuss with a dermatologist first. It may be primarily dermatological.

Thank you for this opportunity to answer your questions, I hope you find the information I have provided useful, good luck.
