Right Shoulder Pain

Right Shoulder Pain

Good morning, I am inquiring for my 15 yr. old daughter who plays softball.  She has been playing since she was 6 yrs. old although this is her first year as a freshman in high school as a player and practice is much more extensive.  She began feeling shoulder pain in her right shoulder which is her throwing arm about 3 weeks ago but was only a pain and the trainer was there to examine it and ice it down and confirm that is was the muscle.  Yesterday at practice, she told me that she began feeling a little pricking pain which has me very concerned because this is more than muscle.  I know there is problem but need some help in finding out where exactly I need to bring her to get this examined and corrected.
Thank you.

Hello.

Soft ball requires some effort to throw the ball past the goalie. And since she is training more extensively now, her shoulder has to bear much more than it was used to earlier.

If you have heard of the rotator cuff, you must also have read about rotator cuff injury. You should get her examined by an orthopedic surgeon for the same.
