Right hand shakes due to shoulder

I injured my shoulder playing baseball a few years ago. I never thought much of it until recently. When I use a computer my right hand shakes. A mouse is almost unusable. When I bring a cup up to my mouth, my hand shakes. Thing is, I can feel a tremor in my shoulder causing it. Only the right arm, and mostly seen in the hand when I go to do precise movements with it.

I'm hoping someone can refer me to the right type of Doctor. Shoulder, Neuro, General ??

Hello!

I would start with your MD, get either x-rays or MRI first.  If you're sent to a specialist, they'll request an MRI anyway.  The tremors are possibly caused by a pinched nerve in the shoulder which causes the muscles to spasm.  This is the most likely cause.

There is also something called "Intention Tremor".  This is when the hand shakes when trying to complete a task, such as putting sugar in coffee, grabbing a cup, using a mouse, etc.

Since you feel the tremor in the shoulder, the pinched nerve is the most likely cause.
