SPS evolving into CPS?

SPS evolving into CPS?

I am 50 F. Monitored in EMU last year 3 days due to an EEG showing continuous run of theta throughout the L-temporal chain of electrodes but no clear epileptiform activity. (had 2 prior abnormals mostly L-temp. thetha). Report said seizures strongly suspected (sleep deprivation not done). Diagnosis after EMU-sleep myoclonus as I had no seizures at that time & EEG was better tho had poorly sustained, organized & formed waves (?) but seizures still could not be ruled out.  My MRI

Its difficult for me to comment without seeing your test results, but I will comment as best I can

While the EEG finding may have been abnormal, runs of temporal theta in many people can be a normal variant (that is, normal), depending on the appearance

This would bring the diagnosis of seizures into question, unless the EEG showed seizure activity during an episode

You may need further EEG monitoring to capture theses events and come to a diagnosis. If you are in the Cleveland area, this could be done at the newly renovated and expanded Cleveland Clinic Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
