Hi.

Have you undergone physical therapy? Physiotherapy is an essential part of treatment and would include range of motion activities and strengthening exercises.

Has your doctor suggested surgery? In those with brachial plexus injury where adequate function is not recovered within several months, surgery may be required. Ideally, surgery should be done not later than a year after injury as the treatment options are more limited beyond this.

Treatment can be done microsurgically and is targeted at improving brachial plexus function. Surgical techniques include neurolysis, nerve grafting, nerve transfer, free muscle transfer, tendon transfer and joint fusion.

You should talk about this with your doctor to determine if you are a candidate for surgery.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
