It is reported that 5% patients who have sarcoids will have neurological problems and yes we do see a fair share of these patients.  A couple years ago, we had 2 neurosarcoids patients in the hospital within a month of each other.  Bell's palsy (or a facial nerve problem) is one of if not the most common neurological problem we see in patients with sarcoids. Peripheral neuropathy on the other hand is rarely seen in this setting, but is a known neurological complication. We have also seen sarcoids affect the pituitary gland, encompassing it.  Not having personally reviewd your MRI, it's impossible to say whether or not you have a pituitary adenoma or sarcoids involvement/infiltration of the pituitary.  Steroids appear to be the first line treatment followed by another immunosuppressant therapy - cyclosporine.  Treatment is for at least 6 months and we've had a few patients who have had to be on steroids for years.  If you're considering a second opinion, we'd be happy to see you here. Good luck.
