Scar Tissue

by ampky, Jan 26, 2008 03:36PM
I (F, 37) had my second stroke March, 2005 and subsequent surgery to remove the hemangioma at the intersection of the right cerebellum, pons and brainstem.  I feel that it hasn't healled completely and I'm not getting enough blood/oxygen.

-What is the best imaging tool (i.e. PET or CT) to see scar tissue?
-Besides surgery (which may cause additional scar tissue), can radiation or any other means be used for reduction?

Thank you for you time!
