Scuba Diving

I have had MG for 12 years.  I underwent a thymectomy 6 years ago.  I am
not on any medications at present and lead a fairly normal life.  I would
like to scuba dive.  What might I expect other than normal symptoms.

Dear Becky,
You probably won't have any troubles with diving given your history of MG.
Our only suggestion would hold for any person planning to go diving; dive
with a partner.  Know that the symptoms of MG are that one gets progressively
fatigued with continued exertion.  If you haven't been symptomatic lately
and are on no meds, you will likely have no problems with diving.
Run this by your primary care physician and see whether he doesn't agree.
Good luck.
