Seizures & Chorea

by adcraig, Sep 24, 2007 01:04PM
My 6-year old daughter had a seizure for the first time 07/22/07. Since then, they have become progressively worse despite various medications. She was admitted to the hospital for the third time 08/22/07, and intubated 09/08/07 for 11 days for "seizures". The days before intubation she was no longer responding to us and seemed to be staring into space. Her limbs jerked. Since coming out of the coma, she's the same way. Doctors now say it's not "seizures" and is "chorea." What does all this mean?
