Sensations in head & muscle stress?

Sensations in head & muscle stress?

  Hi,
A week or so ago I wrote about the sensations I have in my head for
5 weeks now. I will summarize them:
  - bumped my head (although light) against cupboard, near left temple
  - sensations started only after a week, with throbbing and pulsating
    near left temple
  - gradually sensations got worse, until they were permanently present
(the whole day) Pulling my fingers through my hair made it go away
for a few seconds. It feels like a light pressure.
  - last 2 weeks I feel like wearing something on the first half of my
head (forehead), "mounted" near my left temple and (sometimes) above my
right ear. It feels like electricity is 'flowing' inside my head.
  - since last week I experience ringing in my head of a very high frequency
    (15kHz)
It does not (and never has) feel like a headache! (It is not dull, nor
really aching). I also had all kinds of symptoms: nausea, numb leg etc.
Because of my anxiety I got some medication: buspar. Many of the symptoms
disappeared, but the sensations in my head remained.
During the night everything is fine, after I fall asleep, but last night
  I had some strange feelings:
  - like my head was being crunched by my own nerves/muscles on my scalp,
    even extending to my face/jaw
  - my left leg felt like 'just before cramp'
  - my stomach was rumbling
  - stretching my left fingers is more difficult than the right hand
  - ringing in head
(also I awoke many times during the night, don't know why)
I am now wondering whether this can be caused by my muscles on the left
side of my body being stressed or my nerves transmitting 'high voltage'
  electricity to the muscles?
Furthermore, I would like your opinion about these symptoms in relation
to the sensations in my head described above.
I really appreciate your forum; it is the best in it's kind in the world!

Not sure how bad this hitting your head was - Certainly head trauma can cause immediate problems but you're past that.  There is a syndrome called post-concussive syndrome where people develop headaches, dizziness, ringing in their ears that persists for weeks with normal exams and imaging of the head.  The good news is the vast majority of these problems improve over weeks to months and go away.  But you describe much more - stomach rumbling, cramping of your left leg, problems stretching the left fingers.  I think mainly for your own peace of mind, if you haven't already you should see your doctor or a neurologist about this.  But if your neurologic exam (and especially if they've done a CT scan) is normal,  I see no clear relationship between these additional symptoms and the bumping of your head.  Perhaps the concern/anxiety of your headaches and ringing in the ears has indeed exascerbated these other problems.  But again remember, if your evaluation is normal, and this is something like a form of post-concussive syndrome, take heart - it should improve.
