Severe Chronic muscle cramps

Hi,
My whole body is in a real mess. I have multiple symptoms, so I will try to list  them all. Maybe they are all related, maybe not.
All of my life I have suffered aches and pains. I don't think I was put together right! :) Stuff like chronic headaches, Carpel Tunnel, weird nerve problems in my arms, Back pain, highly over sensitive to light and odors. Inability to sleep well or gain weight.Anyway, a little over 2 years ago I started getting this soreness (cramping) in both of my legs. The pain is in the main muscles in the top front and back, and the back of the calves. Since I am a very active person (drumming, bicycling, climbing mountains) I figured that it was just soreness and it would go away. Well after about 6 months of chronic cramping and muscles that feel unusually tight and hard,in the legs, I started to get concerned. Here it is, 2 years later and nothing has changed despite the fact that i have been to numerous doctors of different types. I saw an acupuncturist about a year ago and i had a bad reaction. They had needles all over me. When they inserted the needles it felt like they were trying to put them in blocks of wood because my muscles are so tense. I went to move my body a bit and I had like a short-circuit and couldn't move my whole body. Ever since that day the muscles in my arms hurt. Now In the last 3 or 4 months my arms are starting to cramp..even in my fingers. The slightest motor activity, for example, using a spray can, makes my fingers hurt. Lifting something that is a bit heavy, makes my arms (biceps and forearms) hurt bad..like cramps.
There are many factors that may be involved in the cause of this problem, so I will try to list everything. First of all, like I said before, I am very active..sometimes obsessively. When the leg thing started, i was riding my bike ALOT! Everyday, for hours on end. Maybe I wasn't drinking enough water? I have been playing drums since I was 6 years old (I am 46 years old now) I stopped playing for about a year and sat down at a computer to learn a recording studio program. Yes, I obsessively worked a whole year, practically day and night, sitting at that computer. For like 7 years, (on and off) I had been taking Tramadol for my everyday pains and Alprazolam to help me sleep (1 mg.) I don't like taking these heavy pills, but they helped with the pain and to sleep. In the long run, who knows what they did to my body. I have been off the Tramadol for 1 month now, and I am down to .5 mg. of Alprazolam.
I have been doing alot of research on this type of problem and have been trying many things. I have a bad reaction to anything with wheat..breads, and alcohol (haven't drank for over 20 years) but i just recently cut out all breads. I am taking alot of vitamin c. Many other vitamins too, including Magnesium. I will be trying Lugols solution (iodine) to see if that helps
I need to mention also that at the moment, I live in Mexico, but I will be moving back to the states soon. I had x-rays done here and there are a few obvious problems with my back. One Dr. suggested that i get an mri done of my lumbar area, so they can see more of what's going on, but that was before the muscle cramps started in my arms, so at this point, I'm not sure what to do. I realize that you guys can't give me a diagnosis without seeing me and running tests, but please don't hesitate to steer me in the right direction and maybe help me narrow this down. Feel free to ask any questions and I will post more info, if I think of it. I have been getting the run around with this and I now want to avoid useless tests and procedures. I am so tired of this body of pain and believe me, I am not exagerating. I want so bad to carry on with my life and play my music and ride my bike. please help!!
Thank You sincerely,

anyway, another thing..
I originally figured that my leg problem was sciatica, but the fact that it is in my arms now kinda makes me wonder??

I have swollen lymp nodes under my arms. I have had those for like 20 years and the doctors always just said it's nothing to worry about. That can't be right? I worry about my liver and kidneys because of all the years of taking those pills.I want to try the Lugols to see if it might be something with my thyroid.
Btw, the muscle cramps are always there..everyday, every minute of the day, They are just aggravated further with any usage.
