Severe Headaches, Dizziness, Loss of Vision

i have been experiencing severe and frequent headaches that dont go away and lasts weeks, sometimes months, also no pain medicine or migraine perscriptions have helped to even ease the pain. Along with the headaches i have also experienced othe symptoms such as; numbness in my legs, hands, and face, dizziness, blurred or double vison (even with my glasses), attitude changes, loss of focus and concentration, loss of appetite, and the left side of my head either swells or caves in and is sensitive to the touch and often causes me to feel dizzy to the point of wanting to pass out. In addition to that i have been having trouble sleeping because i cant lay on the left side of my head with out it sending shooting pains through my head. What could be the cause of my symptoms?

Hi. Have you been to a dr yet? Or had your eyes checked?
I have IIh/ PTC and you seem to share a lot of the symptoms.
You need to go and see your dr and get an apt with a neurologist, and a Ophthalmologist.
You need to get this sorted out.
IIH/PTC is a rare illness and can be difficult to diagnoses.
Look it up here, or on Google and see what you think.

If, I can help in any way, give me a shout. Best wishes, Cath278.

Hi, just felt the need to post as i have been having the same symptoms for just over a year now!! I have just had an MRI and am waiting for the results...so lucky to have the NHS but the waiting is horrible!!
The loss of appetite and nausea means i have now lost a stone and a half in weight in the last 2 months, but its the headaches and visual stuff thats worse
I hope you get this sorted

Hi there.  These appear to be suggestive of cluster headaches, which are excruciating unilateral headaches of extreme intensity ranging from 15 mins to three hours. The onset may be rapid and mostly without any preliminary signs characteristic of a migraine. Usually unilateral, they can shift sides and at times be bilateral. Other possibilities are trigeminal neuralgia, with headaches of similar character. Here the pain is mostly located around the cheek area. Consult your neurologist for an assessment and trial of therapy directed towards these causes. Take care.

You need to get to a neurosurgan asap or a neurologist. I have a condition called psuedotumor ceberi or ptc for short. It is very rare and the symptoms you describe sound alot like it. You also need to have your eyes checked.

                                                            Good Luck!!!!
