Severe pain in arms after epidural blood patch

Hi,
About 2 weeks ago now, I went to the hospital for a sudden onset of sharp pains in my head. They performed a CT scan and a spinal tap to test for an anneurysm and (im assuming) any other infection of the brain. they gave me 3 injections of a strong pain med while in the hospital and sent me home with codine and told me to sleep it off, that it was most likley just a migrane (migraine). by the following tuesday my symptoms had changed but i still was not feeilng well, i went to my dr and he said the same thing "take these meds and sleep it off its probably just a migrane (migraine)". a week after that i ended up going back to the e.r. to have an epidural blood patch done. It is now 2 days later and I am experience pain in my back on and around the injection site as well as a horrible pain in both shoulders and arms. it hurts to even type this or to pick up my 4lb dog! i called the emergency room to ask if this was a normal side effect or if i should be concerned. The nurse who answered sounded concerned and asked if i could go back to be rechecked but i was just wondering if anybody ever had or heard of this experience? I know the nurse really cant tell me to just rest it off because if i wake up tomorrow and cant use my arms its her fault but before i go for the 3rd time in 2 wks i wanted to try my chances here. thanks everybody
