I am a 50 year old female suffering from sciatic nerve pain at level 10 on a 10 scale. The pain starts in my right buttock and proceeds down the back of my right leg and radiates around my ankle burning there. Pain started 4 years ago although it didn't start at a level 10. It got progressively worse over the 4 year period. I have been at level 10 for 2 years now. Lower epidural steroid injections are the only relief. Had that for 2 years. I want to find the root cause of this pain. I've seen neurologists, orthopedists, spine physiatrist, chiropractor, physical therapists (2 different cycles), deep tissue massage, special LMT, and pain management. I've had Xray, MRIs, and CT scan. Last spine doctor found 10 cm teratoma tumor on right ovary. Had that removed hoping it was the cause of my right leg pain. No such luck. That was 10 days ago. Now the pain is worse. Before surgery, I got relief by sitting or laying down. Now there's no relief. Could there be a tumor pressing on nerve? I can reproduce the pain sometimes when I have a bowel movement. What area would I have an MRI on now? I've already had lower lumbar and now pelvic. I am willing to try acupuncturist but fear there is another tumor or cyst pressing on this nerve. Please help me!
