Sharp, Constant Headches

For the past 6 months I have been experiencing sharp left ear pain and headches on the top and left side of my head. The pain is, at times, very acute. Right now, the pain is o the very top of my head, slightly to the left. I had an MRI done on my neck to check for any pinched nerves, and it came back negative. My dentist says I grind at night sometimes, but nothing too bad. I've had headaches almost everyday for 10 years or so (I'm 25), but this pain is different and more painful. Any ideas what it could be? I'm not looking so much for pain remedies, but rather a theory of what may cause it.  Thank You!

try seeing an ENT...it could be an inner ear issue.....also have ur thyroid checked...I was dx with hashimoto's thyroiditis and have what I call pain that feels like someone is jabbing an ice pick in my ear!....by the way...if u buy a mouth guard, sold for sports, they can be molded to fit, my dentist said to try this before getting a more expensive device to keep from grinding ur teeth...it could alaaso help.
