Sharp knife pricks shooting up & down forearm to fingers

Sharp knife pricks shooting up & down forearm to fingers

For a few years now, I have been having severe knife like pin pricks shooting up and down my right forearm from below the elbow to my fingers.  The pain is really severe for a few seconds, feeling like an electrical current with knives attached and then it tapers down and goes away returning intermittently.  When the pain occurs, I use my other hand to rub my forearm hoping that this will make the pain feel less intense, but it only increases the pain, which is really weird.  Also when the pain comes, i feel a responding sharp pain in the area of my fallopian tubes/ovaries.  When the pains goes away, I will keep feeling a sharp pain in my ovaries which will bring the sharp stabbing pain back to my forearm & fingers and it keeps going for a few seconds, both pains simultaneously. I don't know what causes this and it scares me because I know it must be nerve related.  Can someone tell me what these symptoms may be, I'd really appreciate it if you can help me. Thanks Ivy.

Is your hand or fingers numb?  If so it could be carpal tunnel syndrome.  If it's coming from your elbow then it might be tendonitis of the elbow.  There is also something called the ulnar nerve that could be inflamed.  You should see a neurologist.  He can test you to see what it is.
