Sharp shooting foot pain

I have been expeirencing severe sharp shooting foot pain. When I get up in the morning I can hardly walk. I am on my feet all day at my job. The doctor sent me for theropy but it hasn't helped. My doctor calls it foot spurs. I have not been able to find out any information on this. Is there anothor name to this and is there a cure. This has affected my job, as the pain is so severe. If anyone can send me any info it would greatly be appreciated.

Sorry about your foot pain.  I would recommend that you see a podiatrist.  Spurs are boney outgrowths due to abnormal stress on the bone, usually from shoes.

I had terrible heal spurs for several years.  I tried everything, and found that new shoes (good ones) every year and my Chiropractor used ultrasound on my feet for several months.  I haven't had any problems since.  The pain was so severe in the evening and in the mornings I had to use a cane to get around.  Hope this helps.
