Sharp sudden pains above my left eye

A few weeks ago I started getting very sharp (almost exruciating) pains above my left eye or ear, but they only last a second, or a fraction of that. They are very sudden and sometimes I feel a dull ache in that area in between the sharp outbursts. I am 25 years old and in good health. Nothing as far as ibuprofen or tylonol/advil has worked on the ache. I find that when I lower my head so my chin is against my chest the ache gets stronger and sometimes throbs. The pain hasn't yet woken me in the night. I am a little worried to say the least and I'm wondering if anyone might be able to offer some insight as to what could be going on with me.

Thanks!
