Shooting Pain Face and Arm

Shooting Pain Face and Arm

Since I was a teen I would get shooting pains on the right side of my face that would shoot down my right arm. I tried to find out what it was about 10 years ago but the doctor didn’t have any answers. When its starts it stops me in my tracks I can’t move and when I try to move it just makes it worse. It only last for a couple of seconds. It may daily or weekly and I have gone months without it happening. In general I am very health but this is a growing concern of mine since this has been going on so long.

Thank you for your question. Although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern.

Burning sensation or shooting pain along with numbness or tingling sensation in any part of body is considered nerve related in origin. This burning sensation you are having can occur due to impingement, irritation or compression of nerve and any blockage in artery supplying to the organ. I would suggest thoroughly evaluate possibilities mentioned here. Hope this helps.
