Short Episode of Strange Sensations

Last night while I was lying in bed I Suddenly started to feel very strange. I can't describe it exactly but felt very unwell all over, I was having trouble breathing, I felt nauseated, and my right side felt odd. My right leg felt tingly and numb and it started to feel very warm. It continued to get warmer and warmer, it feel like the leg itself was heating up, but it didn't feel warm on the outside. I tried to get it out from under the blanket when my husband said that might help, but I couldn't move it. My right arm felt very heavy too. Other than that I just remember feeling confused, especially when my husband was talking. He says I didn't seem to know anything about the past 6 or so years. It only lasted about half an hour, the leg took a bit longer. When I woke up in the morning I was walking funny and the vision in my right eye was a little blurry. My gait is and vision are better, but not quite normal. I don't know what happened, or why. I am only 25 years old and fairly healthy. I don't smoke, drink or do drugs, I don't take birth control pills. I am a little over weight, but not obese. I couldn't be a stroke or I would be paralyzed or something right? Any Help would be nice, I am a little scared.

Thanks for the advice, I saw my Dr. on Wednesday and told him about my Episode, he really didn't seem very concerned. He is sending me to an Endocrinologist, finally. It isn't related to the strange episode. It is because I have had some severe hypothyroid type of symptoms and but the tests are normal. I guess maybe he thinks the episode is somehow related to that. Oh well, If it happens again I will go to the ER. After reading your responses to my post I did some research and it sounds like a minor stroke called a TIA. Not dangerous on it's own, but possibly a warning of a future full blown stroke. Plus at the start of one you can't know if it is a TIA or a major Stroke! Thanks So Much for your help!

You should go to your family doctor right away or at least call the office and explain what happened.  You never know you could have had a mild stroke or something. I'm not a doctor, but that's what I would do if I went through what you did.  Good luck

Go to the doctor and get checked out and tell him what happened. The symptoms sound stroke-like and so you need to get checked. Anytime you lose vision like that you should go to the ER.
