Have you had a cervical MRI? That's the same symptoms I have with two herniated disks.

If this was sudden onset pain, and not something that has been creeping up on you, I would be concerned about a heart attack. Usually herniated disc pain doesn't disappear rapidly like yours did. Please consider this seriously, and if you have any more symptoms, please go to ER. Better safe than not.
