Shoulder pain numbness in pinky

I am 28 years old, and I have had a lot of pain in my shoulders over the last 5 years.  Physical therapy seems to make it worse and I have recently experienced numbness in my left pinky that is driving me crazy!  This is obviously a compromised nerve but I would really like to know where it is being pinched.  Is this likely to be coming from shoulders or my neck? I also get a very "tight" sensation in the underside of my upper arm and forarm when I abduct my left arm to the side.  I tried stretching everyday thinking it was a tight muscle, but to no avail.
I've seen a Physical Therapy M.D. (Physiatry) who told me to go do yoga and take anti-depressents and a rhematoid specialit who says I have rotator cuff tendonitis that needs physical therapy but as I said before seems to make it worse.  And my lovely HMO only allows me to see a limited number of physicians. Any ideas on what is causng my pain and nerve involvment?

I think you are right in thinking that you are having nerve compression. To know the site of nerve compression it is important to an imaging study. Was an imaging study being done? If yes, what was the report?
I think your symptoms are due to nerve compression of ulnar nerve at the level of medial epicondyle as you are having symptoms of pain, tingling and numbness on your pinky finger and no further radiation from here.
I think you should be getting an x-ray or MRI done of your elbow to see for any pathology.
I recommend you should be seeing an orthopaedician at earliest?
