Shoulder pain

Shoulder pain

I have nerve pain in my shoulders when I am lying down in bed but not during the day when I am fine. I do not seem to be able to get comfortable during the night.  Ibuprofen does not help, nor does paracetomal or aspirin.  I have no problems with moving my arms.  Sometimes I have a numbing pain in my arms, hands and wrists too - day and night.  This pain is intermittent. My doctor sent me for physiotherapy but I think they thought it must be all in the mind because I did not seem to have pain when I moved my arms etc. and they could not see that there was anything wrong.  I have not really had a proper diagnosis and have been prescribed anti-inflammatories which do not help.

Hi,

Thanks for posting.
Your symptoms are suggestive of nerve entrapment in the shoulder region. It will help if undergo an X ray or MRI of the shoulder to find out the cause of nerve entrapment. Please discuss this with an orthopedic specialist.
Rotator cuff injury is one of the causes of nerve entrapment in the shoulder region.
In the meantime you can take B complex supplements as they may provide relief from nerve pain.

Thanks
