Hi Kia,
How are you feeling now?
To start with excessive lower back pain or strain can cause impingement on the nerve in that region. Any external compression or pressure on that nerve can cause pain in distribution of nerve. The nerve involved in hip joints is Sciatic Nerve, which starts from lower back and extends up to foot. Hence any concern with Sciatic nerve, the pain will radiate up to foot. The pain is sharp shooting type of pain.
Nerve impingement can be due to local trauma, compression injury, and excessive lower back strain.
You need to consult an orthopaedician at earliest and decide regarding further course of action.
Bye.
Hi,
The pain experienced at the hip region do have numerous causes to list.
To be certain of diagnosis, a clinical evaluation is a must
Also required are basic investigations.
Since when are you having this pain and how old are you? To treat the pain the cause has to be identified. Have you suffered any hip injury recently that could have caused fracture, or it can be arthritis (rheumatoid/ osteoarthritis), hip bursitis or dislocated hip. Please schedule an appointment with an orthopedician to determine the exact cause. Meanwhile you can take OTC pain killers for pain.Good Luck!
