Side effects of Imitrex

I have been taking Imitrex (50 mg. ~4/week)  for the last six months. Recently I was diagnosed with PPH.   Is it possible that PPH is a side effect?  Also, since I increased my dosage (as per my doctors suggestion) from 25 to 50 mg per episode, my sed rate has gone up to 50.  I understand that a sed rate is a non-specific indication of inflamation (inflammation) or infection, but didn't know if it could be elevated by Imitrex.  Neither my cardiologist nor my PCP were able to answer these questions.  I would appreciate any help that you could provide.
