Sleep Apnea

I have a ten week old baby boy who stopped breathing during sleep. I took him to the hospital and was made to feel that I was totally paranoid as I had a monitor for peace of mind. They could give me no answers but still endevoured to make me feel totally inadequate. I feel that medical science is lacking hugely as there are no answers to cot death or apnea and yet when you take precautions to avoid something waful happening your some sort of crazy woman. If anyone has any advice I would be grateful
