Slight tremor left hand. Tingley left foot and leg

by Connie144, Jul 16, 2008 12:18PM
I have had chemotherapy, followed by a year of a drug called Herceptin for a diagnosis of Breast C (left). I am attempting to figure out the current tremor in my left hand, and now a tingley left foot and lower leg. I have been to a neurologist referred by my primary care physician who thought it might be Parkinson's...the neurologist said that it wasn't at first, then she said 50-50. I refuse to accept that possibility. I am researching everything I can, and praying! I told both doctors that I don't need another life-altering diagnosis. I was interested in so many using Zoloft for relief. Coincidentally, I took Zoloft about 5 years ago, for approximately 6 months as an anti-depressant. While taking it, intermittently, I would get a "swooshing" sound passing through the back of my neck. I quit. About a year later, I began to hear a "swishing" sound (to my heartbeat) in my right ear. That sound has never gone away. I have had an MRI to see if it was in the Carotid Artery. It was not, so I am evidently stuck with it. The doc's are calling it Pulsatile Tinnitus. I would love to be able to find something that gives results such as the Zoloft has done for so many, but I am a little concerned about taking it again. At least the thought of possible relief is a good one. I will ask my doctor for an alternative to Z unless anyone else has any suggestions. Thanks so much.
