Small Syrinx diagnosed

Small Syrinx diagnosed

A little over a month ago I had an MRI of my thoracic spine. I had been having pain in a band around my trunk and a sensation of heat in the area. My doctor found a small 2mm syrinx that extended from t5-t9. He was pretty sure this was an incidental finding and that my pain was a result of my connective tissue disorder. He then ordered a follow up MRI with contrast when a started I having decreased sensation and pain from my hip to my foot on my right leg.

The result of this MRI was that I have formed yet another thoracic syrinx from T2-T4. Does anyone know what would cause another syrinx to form that quickly? My doctor is now ordering MRIs of my brain and cervical spine due to loss of sensation in my face and the area behind my ear.

Could the syringomyelia be related to connective tissue disorder?
