Son has had mycoplasma pneumonie 4x

My son is 11yrs old and has had mycoplasma pneumonie 4x in 2yrs.  He is suffering from headaches and dizziness, he also stays very fatigued.  The dr. performed blood work and CBC and Iron levels came back normal.  He also has asthma and is wheezing and has a cough.  They always treat him with a Z-pak and his cough goes away but the myco stills shows up in his blood.  The dr. told me that it just stays with some people for yrs.  They will keep the bacteria in their system even after symptoms go away.  Any info will be greatly appreciated.  My sons health is deteriorating.

My son is also 11 years old and just finished a zpack for Mycroplasma.  He started off with the flu, then it went to croup, bronchitis and finaly mycroplasma lung infection.  He has been home for two weeks.  He has been on antibiodics for something every month this year and most of his life for strep ( had tonsils out this year), ear aches, sinus infections, etc.
Today I sent him to school but he was crying that he just didn't feel good he said he can't focus on one thing.  His eyes can not focus.  He's dizzy and nauseaus.  I am very concerned about this dizzyness and his vision.
Did you find anything elese out about the dizzyness?

Hi, Thank you Dr. Srivastava, but the only test done so far is blood test and 2 chest x-rays.  I've not been told the name of the blood test, and his sputum has never been checked.  I have never been told what kind of myco organism and as far as I knw calcium in blood has not been checked either.  I think after your suggestion the best thing for me to do is take him to a pulmonologist.  The Dr. told me today they think he may have chronic fatique syndrome, and from my own personal experience I was told that I had CFS by a Dr. that just couldn't pin point my illness.  I kept searching until I found a Dr that could.  I think they make the diagnosis of CFS too quickly.  Thanks for your comments and suggestions.  They are greatly appreciated!

Hi, Thank you for your question. I would recommend that you show him to a pediatrician in order to reach at appropriate diagnosis. In mycoplasma pneumoniae serological test and chest radiography are quite essential to rule out the condition. On confirmation it should be treated with appropriate antibiotic therapy. I hope it helps.
