Sore Tongue and Lips

2.5 years ago I received a Taxol coated stent in a heart artery.  5 days later, my lips started peeling and my tongue and inner lips became sensitive.  Since then, without a days respite, I have been tongue searching and licking my lips and sucking slime off my tongue. My taste buds have been affected and food does not taste good anymore.  My Doctor has examined my mouth and says he can not see any problem.  I have visited every specialist I can think of including my dentist and none of them have any idea what the problem is or how to relieve the symptoms. An allergy specialist ran all his tests and could not find any food allergies. They do not test for drug interactions or allergies.  I have varied the dose of the following drugs that I take without causing any change in the symptoms.  Atenolol, Glucovance, Avandia, Cozaar, Uroxatral, Aspirin, Hyroxchlorethiazide, and Aciphex.  The Taxol is a chemotheropy drug that I think may be the culprit. It's purpose is to prevent artery tissue from growing around the stent and blocking it. My primary care doctor says that Taxol may be the problem but that it is supposed to wear off in 8 months, but appears not to have in my case. If it is the Taxol, nothing can be done.  What doctor can I see to get help?
