Spinal Lipomatosis, MS, L-5 disc problem

Three years ago my physiatrist told me that I have spinal lipomatosis (MRI) which is very rare.  Because I have carried a suspect dx of MS for 20 years, I have been advised not to have surgery as that may cause MS to worsen or get worse.  I also have a bulging disc at L-4-5 which I have had numerous epidural blocks injected for over the past 4 years.  I have also had IV steroids for MS on and off but not often - 5 or 6 times over the course of 20 years.  It always takes me a long time to recover from the steroid treatments in terms of side effects.  So what do you think?  Sugery or not?  I have bowel, bladder and increased inability to walk distance before my back freezes up and I start walking very stiffly. When I went into remissions with RRMS I used to be able to walk to gain tone back after the attack.  Thank you very much for your opinion, I look forward to a better day hopefully!
