Spinal Myoclonus

I noticed a questions from 2008 about spinal myoclonus. My daughter was diagnosed with it a couple of months ago, she's 12 almost 13. From what I've read most people get it because of some other issue. Like the woman who went to the Mayo clinic, her's is just that, no other issues, all the test, and there were plenty, came up negative/clear. I understand it's apparently very rare, is there any new information on it since 2008?
