I had the blood patch about a month ago after 4 days of horrible headache from lp. I could feel the difference in pain right after. For a few weeks later I had a strange headache. When I would stand it would throb in my back neck and head. It takes a while to recover. But if you didnt feel a little better afer you might have to have another one. Good luck
I had the worst headache ever after LP, ended up admitted in the hospital. It lasted about a week. It was all over my head and in my neck as well. Seems like your symptoms have been present too long for it to be related but I'm not a doctor.
My daughter had the spinal tap done and also had the spinal headache so severe for 4 days that she could not get up at all. She had the blood patch and after 2 days that headache was gone. But she has a large bump where the blood patch was done and it still feels bruised in that area. The patch was done 7 weeks ago. We were wondering if she should still have the pain and bump to the area of the blood patch.
