Spine Surgery

I saw a spine surgeon yesterday at the Cleveland Clinic.  I developed Scheuerman's Kyphosis as a youth, have lived with a hunched back now for about twenty five years and over the last two years have developed intractable back and chest pain and an anterior chest wall deformity as well.  The surgeon I saw has scheduled me for surgery called T9 Pedical subtraction osteotomy and T5-T12 Legacy instrumentation and fusion.  I am all for it as the pain is crippling.
Can anybody share their experience in what I have to look forward to after surgery and in my recovery?
Most sincere thanks,
Jeff from Ohio
