Lat year i had a
herniatedHerniated nucleus pulposus L5/S1, went through the conservitive measures with no help. Had a EMG done that showed a right side S1
radiculopathyHerniated nucleus pulposus.
EpiduralExtradural hemorrhage injections,
PTPost-traumatic stress disorder, and oral steroids did nothing. A Ct scan showed a
ParsUveitis defect. I had a Laminectomy and discectomy done at L5/S1. Three days after surgery i started having leg pain again (surgery Dec.1 2003). Since surgery ive had breif bladder incontenence, leg pain now worse in both legs, ive had 2 more MRI's done showing recourent disc herniation at L5/S1 (disc is decesiated and broad based) now a small buldge at L3/4 and T11/12. Another EMG was done and showed
radiculopathyHerniated nucleus pulposus at L5 bilateraly. Back and leg pain are much worse than they were before surgery. Now trying another oral prednisone dose. Have done these 5 times in the last year and 4 epidural injestions with no help. It has been a year since the original injury...Is there any help for this besides medications ? Neurontin didnt help the prednisone dosent help and the leg and pain im my feet are getting worse. Thank You
Can you still walk? Are you overweight? I had my tailbone reattached in April2003 and still have to walk with assistance. My left leg is in constant pain and my ankle swells everyday. The doctors are talking about a series of epidurals again but it sounds as though another MRI may reveal other problems. I to am looking for other ways to get help for my leg pain.
