Sternum

  I am 27 year old male in good health. With one problem chronic sore spots on my Sternum up high over my heart I have tried everything that doctors recomend do you have any Ideas.

Thanks for the question Nick but I'm not sure how much I can help you. This does not sound like a neurologic problem. I take it that you are havinbg pain to the touch in your rib cage? Have they done xrays to make sure there is not a structural abnormality? Some patients will develop something called costochondritis which is inflammation of the area where bone and cartilage meet alone the sternum. This is usually treated with antiflamatories. You should also consider a chest xray to make sure the pain is not coming from an inflammation around your lungs. Good luck.
