Strange Sensations in hands

Strange Sensations in hands

Hi there,
I apologise beforehand for the long post.. Ive been floating around these forums for a few months now trying to gather information about my own symptoms.. It all started back in march 2010 (But it has roots back to when i was 15 - November 2000 ish).. Ive always been very aware of my own heartbeat - i could feel it throughout my entire body - It made me very uncomfortable - feeling every little thing it does - that started when i was 15. its especially worse on standing/Moving quickly and exercise makes it beat very hard and fast. Anyway When i was 15 I was out with friends one night and I smoked a Joint - I NEVER touched pot again after that.. My heart raced, I felt a weird cold sensation around my heart and i was convinced it would burst or something.. The 2-3 weeks after that I was terrified my heart was damaged or had some sort of problem.. My mum took me to the doctor and he said I was fine (Although I couldn’t fully believe him) I think that was all a mental issue like anxiety or something because I think I had a few panic attacks after that event.. From then on I slowly got better, Got a job, Girlfriend etc But the heart thing always stayed with me - I just learned to live with it.. I could still do everything as normal. Life went on, I got married had a baby, bought a house (All in the last 2 years) and in may 2010 I started getting chest pains in heart, left arm hurt (I think i slept on it the night before) and heart beat was very hard all the time, though not really fast unless exercising or something and it felt irregular to me - I went to GP and explained everything to him and he ordered blood tests and ECG in 5 days. It all constantly worried me so I think i had a panic attack and went to the Hospital A&E. The doctor there listened to whole story, Took blood and did ECG and said it all looked normal, although slightly weird pattern (RSA i think he called it).. He said go home and relax. I did feel a little better, for about a week, then it all came back - I was thinking 'what if' etc etc and went back to doctor who did 3 day monitor.. Which picked nothing other than fast heart beat which was sinus tach so nothing to worry about).. GP Then sent me to cardiologist who looked at everything and said I had marked RSA which was a little exaggerated but nothing to worry about.. He still ordered Echo, and tilt table test to put my mind at rest.. Both of those came back fine.. But now its all changed.. My heart beat no longer feels pronounced, like its beating softer, that started before the tilt table test.. It just changed suddenly after some weird feeling in my neck..? I also feel a little woozy, Not really light headed, But not right.. Like Ime made from rubber - My breathing feels a little weird too.. Like my lungs are made from rubber.. GP said BP, Pulse was fine and chest sounded OK. The other thing is my hands – I keep getting weird sensations in them – like numbness, tingles, vibrating sensations etc sometimes it feels like my fingers are touching something when they are not.. my hands are mostly cold – and if I touch things with my fingers it feels wrong.. like if I touch a smooth surface it feels rough or if I touch a rough surface it feels smooth…? Its bizarre. GP said its because of smoking and cold weather affecting small blood vessels and I should stop.. Which I did, and its all still there. (But my hands are warmer since I stopped smoking).. Ime also sleeping a lot – easily 12 hours a night.

So my questions are,
1. Has anyone else had a similar story to this
2. What could be wrong with my hands? Its not anxiety related as I feel fine mentally.

It’s the sensation thing which is really bothering me. If I exercise its worse..
Could I have early PAD or CAD?

Ime 25 white male from UK Rarely drink and smoked 10 cigs per day (Ive quit now).

Thanks in advance and sorry for long post,

Troy.
