Strange symptom!! HELP

Hi, I have systemic Lupus and a host of other autoimmune illnesses.  I also have the antibody that puts me at risk for a blood clot.  Twice this week, I was sitting and talking on the phone.  Suddenly it felt like the room flipped upside down and I was tumbling.  I have seen my Rheumy, and have an appointment with a neurologist this coming Monday morning.  My doc at first thought maybe it was a small blood clot that dissolved itself. BUT after the second episode, he felt not, as he did not think the EXACT same symptom would dupicate itself??  SO I sit and worry, and hope it does not happen again until Monday.  He ruled out vertigo, and thinks it is brain related. WHAT could cause this?? Is there anything that can happen with the nerves??  pressure???  I did have an MRI 4 months ago, and it was perfect..so what could of changed in such a short period of time?? ANY information regarding what this could be would be greatly apppreciated!!!!!!!!

A transient ischemic attack (TIA) is possible. If these symptoms recur you should immediately call 911 and go to the emergency room. A clot in the posterior circulation (basilar artery) could cause similar symptoms. Other thoughts include atypical migraine. These can produce similar symptoms, and not be associated with headache. If this has recurred since you posted this E-mail you should go to your emergency room to have this evaluated. Good luck.

Maybe a seizure?  Seizures do repeat themselves in the same manner over and over.  There are prob many things it can be, I will leave that to the dr.  

I am actually posting to tell you of an autoimmune chat in Yahoo User rooms.  :o)  It is "Chronic Illness Info/Exchg".

I have FVL (Factor V Leiden), is that by any chance what you have?
