Stress induced seizures????

Hello all.
I have a father in South Korea who is 74 years old. Recently he had "seizures" while he was working in the filed. My father is in a hospital and receving some kind of medication treatment. When I talk to my mother, she said, she was told by doctors that my father's seizures are stress related. My father does not have any history of seizure disorders and never had seizures in the past. Additionally, according to my mother, father suffers from some kind of short-term memory lost as well after he had mutiple seizures(about 5 to 6) in the last past 20 days. According to my mother, the doctors had necessary tests done and had ruled out strocks and tumors. My question is, is there such thing as stress induced seizures in a late adulthood?

I was dealing with "black outs" since age 4. My physician prescribed Wellbutrin SR, now LX 300Mgs each AM, to help reduce my smoking but, it had several benefits. I was referred to a Neurologist who sent me for a 24 hour video EEG, with no results & prescribed Klonopin 3Mgs 3 times a day. He referred me to a Psychiatrist,  Who diagnosed Stress Induced Seizures, Chemical Imbalance, & Depression, in 2001. He reduced the Klonopin to 1 2Mgs at night & added Zoloft 50Mgs each AM. I've had a few seizures during a Disability Review so, my Psychiatrist has referred me to a new Neurologist at the same hospital. I will meet him in the morning.

There are stress induced seizures called PNES and I had never heard of them and am trying to research them now. My daughter 27 yrs old is going thru this right now in the hospital. Of course she has been through alot of stress but I have never in my life heard of an stress induced seizure. I would like to find more medical information about this if anyone has anything that would be helpful. She went into the hospital Tues. night with a Grand Mal seizure and has been having them almost continously since. She has lost use of her left arm and has lost any memory of the past couple of days. Things just don't add up. She is having these seizures for a reason and I just don't buy is being totally stress.
