Stroke Mis-diagnosis?

I have been diagnosed as having an ischemic stroke based 100% on a brain MRI.  According to neurologist the MRI shows there was an ischemic attack to the cerebellum and both ocipital lobes.  Also according to the neurologist this was all from one event.  However, several tests have shown that I have absolutely NO neurological deficits.  The neurologist describes all physical examinations to be "non-focal".  I realize that you can not make a diagnosis.  However my question is:  In your expert opinion what are the odds that someone had a stroke in the areas described, and yet would not show at least some deficit (i.e. balance, coordination, visual, cognitive, etc.)?   What are the chances the carbon-monoxide poisoning might also show similar "lesions" on an MRI?
