Stroke

My 59 year old (otherwise healthy) mother had a right brain sided stroke one week ago today.  The doctor said it was pretty massive, pretty much her whole back right side.  She is paralyzed on her left side, but she can swallow and is eating well.  She can talk fine but was coming up with off the wall stories and was somewhat confussed.  as of sat she seemed more to herself and less confussed and making sense.  but she could always answer any question you ask her pretty much right. (examples:  dad's  meds, bills that needed paid)  She started moving her left foot a little and could feel where we were touching it last nite.  still not really any movement on her left arm. my questions:
1.  What are the chance with a massive stroke of her walking?
2.  What improvements will she have over the course of days from here out?
3.  Is the feeling she has and movement a sign of good things to come, or is that what we want to see?

My dad is currently in the hospital he as driving but managed to stepped on the break when he lost his consciousness. He can talk and eat on the first day but on midnight he threw up everything. The doctor set up ngt tube to his nose for the food. My dad was refusing so much that it took us a day to put that in him so he can eat. He was given a soya milk on the 2nd day.. blood pressure keeps going high.. they gave him meds to lower it. 3rd day my dad lost consciousness they revived him and put a tube to his lungs to support breathing through a manual pumping.. later on he was transfered to ICU .. he barely move now and always sleeping.. I was told by the doctor that the chance of him to survive is only 30% .. what do you think ? I need some answers. Coz its so painful to see him go.. I love him so much.
