Subarachnoid Cyst

by jodiechadwick, Feb 16, 2009 10:50AM
my 17 year old daughter was diagnosed with a very large subarachnoid cyst in her brain. It has been two weeks and will be another week before she is seen by the neurosurgeon. She is in alot of pain but the doctors do not seem to be too much of a hurry. It is large enough that the center line of her brain is being pushed clear over. She is taking hydrocodone for the pain. I do not like that she has to take so much of it, it makes it hard for her to concentrate in school and she just feels terrible. Please any information regarding the condition would be so helpful. I do not know if I should be presistant in having her seen sooner or not.
