Sudden Drop Attacks x3 in 1 week? Poss. Seizures?

My question is I have had three sudden drop attacks where I get this auro feeling
like something is going to happen. My hearing suddenly appears muffled. Then I seem to
just drop to the floor only slightly responsive with paralyses and muscle weakness.
I have Chiari Malformation type 1 which neurologist feels this could attribute to my
problems I am having. He has sent me for EEG/EEG evoked potential to ruleout
Seizure disorder. Is there a type of seizure would cause drop attack. I was
unresponsive for a few minutes, speech slurred for over an hour afterwards,
memory of incident very minimal. I was so tired after that episode and had
a headache in the temple area. Then the last couple of days I seem to forget
my wearabouts, confused what day/night time it is. When I get in my car I become
even more confused and have hard time getting around. Almost had a few minor accidents.
I know it probably not wise for me to drive under this condition. Can Seizure
  cause disorientation/amnesia problems?
  Thank you Sincerely, Anneliese Reitz

Dear Anneliese:
Yes there is a type of seizures that would cause drop attacks.
According to the law in Ohio and in most states, the person who suffers from recurrent episodes of loss of consciousness is not allowed to drive. I strongly suggest that you refrain from driving till your spells are controllled and that you check with your local Neurologist about the rules in place in the state where you live.
Yes, seizures can be associated with disorientation/amnesia problems.
Good luck
